About Blitsy

Blitsy is the most modern and comprehensive site for crafters and do-it-yourselfers and where creative people go to buy arts and crafts supplies. Customers from over 85 countries enjoy videos and live-streaming events that uniquely blend commerce and content by making it easy to buy all of the supplies needed to complete a project, all in one place.

The Founding Story

The Blitsy founding team rejoined forces in late 2011 after selling their first startup to the arts & crafts industry leader, Michaels Stores in 2010. Frustrated by the in-store shopping experience and lack of modern and upbeat digital content designed for arts & crafts enthusiasts, Ryan, Ross and Katy decided to compete with big box retailers and mass merchants who are primarily focused on their brick and mortars and expanding private label initiatives. The three siblings grew up in Glenview, a northern suburb of Chicago, and have been industry insiders for over 20 years.
